The original Kuranda Scenic Railway is a spectacular journey comprising unsurpassed views of dense rainforest, steep ravines and picturesque waterfalls. It makes you wonder what would have happened if a couple of biscuits had fallen on the floor when the train jolted. Things in the original market were cheaper than in the main street and there were more locally made things in that market too.The train pulls in at the beautiful Kuranda station which has a lovely old world feel about it with its hanging baskets and plants.
